It housed the pavilions of Turkey, Monaco, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Spain, France, Holland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Peru, Thailand, India, China, Algeria and Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>This area was designed so that after the exposition it could be converted into the Lisbon Exhibition Centre (FIL). Designed by the architects A. Barreiros Ferreira and A.
